Sex Therapy
Understanding the Pattern Behind the Problem.
Challenges with intimacy, desire, sexual function, or connection are more common than many people realize-and they can affect individuals and relationships in profound ways. Better Being Psychology Group provides a supportive space to explore these concerns and work toward meaningful change.
OVERVIEW
A direct, compassionate approach to intimacy and sexual wellness.
Differences in sexual desire, sexual anxiety, painful sex, and difficulty connecting with a partner can all create challenges with intimate relationships. These difficulties are more common than many people realize, but that doesn’t make them any less frustrating. Left unaddressed, they can create distance, resentment, shame, and confusion in relationships.
At Better Being Psychology Group, we help individuals and couples gain insight into the patterns affecting intimacy and strengthen the skills needed to create healthier, more fulfilling relationships. Our certified sex therapists provide direct, evidence-based support designed to help you move forward with greater confidence, connection, and clarity.

WHEN INTIMACY ISN’T WORKING THE WAY YOU WANT IT TO.
What brings people to sex therapy.
Many people wait years before seeking support for sexual concerns. Whether the issue affects you individually or is creating strain within your relationship, sex therapy provides a structured, judgment-free space to better understand what’s happening and develop a path forward.
Desire Discrepancies
Differences in sexual desire are one of the most common reasons couples seek sex therapy. We guide partners in understanding the factors influencing desire and developing healthier ways to navigate these differences together.
Sexual Anxiety & Performance Concerns
Anxiety can have a significant impact on intimacy, arousal, and sexual satisfaction. Therapy enables you to identify the underlying sources of anxiety and create practical strategies to reduce pressure and increase confidence.
Painful Sex & Sexual Function Concern
Pain, discomfort, erectile difficulties, orgasm concerns, and other sexual function challenges can affect both individuals and relationships. We provide evidence-based support that addresses both emotional and relational components of these experiences.
Trauma & Sexuality
Through trauma-informed care, we help clients process difficult experiences and restore comfort and connection. Sessions can address issues like how past experiences influence boundaries, trust, sexual responses, or relationship patterns.
Communication & Intimacy Challenges
In therapy, couples learn ways of engaging in healthier conversations that foster emotional and physical intimacy. Couples learn to express preferences, set boundaries, and discuss sexual concerns without resorting to blame or avoidance.

Teletherapy for Sexual Wellness
Teletherapy provides a convenient way for adults to participate in sex therapy sessions without traveling to an office in person. We offer teletherapy sessions to adults in over 42 states; each session allows clients to meet with a sex therapist remotely while maintaining the same focus on their needs as they would in an in-person setting. Clients must have access to a confidential space for each session. A private setting helps make sure that any conversations with the sex therapist are not overheard by other people in the household or nearby.
Clients also need a working web camera and a stable internet connection. These requirements help support consistent communication throughout each session with a sex therapist. The teletherapist will conduct each session through a HIPAA-compliant platform, providing a secure, convenient solution for busy individuals and couples.
